Sep. 24, 1953 - Berlin mayor Dr. Reuter was sent back by the Vopos, East Germany's police, at the border crossing point in Lauenburg. He had wanted to go to a meeting of the St?dtetag in Hamburg. Dr. Reuter hurried back to Berlin and got another interzone-pass and rushed back to Hamburg, where he was to preside of the meeting. Pictured: Reuter in the Hamburg city hall after his arrival
