May 24, 1952 - Pictured is the Blutritt, a yearly tradition in Germany in which a procession of horses(2, 700 in this one) rides for two and a half hours through the acres of Weingarten. The tradition began in 1090. The procession ends at the Pontificate office of Mainz in the cloistered courtyard of the Benedictine Cloister(pictured)
