Oct. 07, 1952 - Pictured here is the Hydromobil. It is a hybrid between an airplane and a boat, created by airplane constructor and physicist Karl Schaper. It had a 1.5 liter Porsche motor and could reach a speed of 80 km/hr. While running it could lift about a half meter out of the water. The two vats pictured are the only things to touch the water
