Sep. 19, 1953 - Berlin mayor Dr. Reuter was sent back by the East German Vopos, or police, at the Lauenburg border-crossing point, when he wanted to cross into Hamburg. He hurried back to Berlin, got an interzone-pass, and came to Hamubrg around mid-morning, where he was to preside over the St?dtetag meeting.
