Sep. 09, 1953 - Finally it began.: At 12 o'clock in the morning the October-festival at Munich began. The Munich mayor Thomas Wimmer-opened the festival and-had this year a personal jubilee for he visited the Oktober-festival since 50 years. From everywhere well known persons arrived for the opening. Our picture shows the actress Paula Wessely who brought the greeting of Vienna and the mayor of Munich Thomas Wimmer
