Aug. 04, 1953 - East Germans Continue To Crowd Into The Western Zone For Free Food: In spite of stringent restrictions placed upon them by the Soviet Authorities - East Germans continue to pour into the Western German Zone to allocate the Free food being distributed to them by the American Authorities.. The Volkspolizei do every thing they can to stop them collecting the food - and in many cases it is confiscated when they return to their home territory.
