Germany - Lithuania - Poland

Aug. 09, 1954 - 19 year old Armin Wronski, from Frankfurt am Main, has constructed a plane with only wings; certainly this first model is the only one with just wings. The model flying apparatus has a wingspan of 1.55 meters. A parachute is built into the underside of the head end and located in a drop shaft. The flying apparatus took fifty hours to build. Before the launch a fuse is burned so that, after several minutes of flight, the parachute will safely bring the plane back to the ground
