Mar. 13, 1956 - The Bonn Beethoven Concert Hall was planned as the most modern concert hall on the continent. Dirt from the grave of Beethoven was used during the foundation work on the hall and Federal President Prof. Heuss was present at the ground breaking ceremony. The hall was designed by 28 year old Berlin architect S. Wolske and cost 8, 000, 000DM
