Oct. 29, 1956 - French Gas-Turbine Helicopter in Rescue Mission. In the Wallberg region at Tagernsee the French gas-turbine helicopter Alouette II, which is vibration-free and better in fuel consumption in contrast to the motor-driven helicopter, was demonstrated by the German armed forces and the mountain rescue service.
