Apr. 10, 1957 - A buyer has purchased the world-famous painting Zinsgroschen for 2, 000, 000DM from Mrs. Wadskjer in Hamburg. Her husband had brought the painting with him to Hamburg as a refugee, and she had finally decided to sell it. The 1.42m x 1.89m painting was taken to Hamburg bank under police protection. Her husband, Henry Wadskjer, had been a director in Berlin and the picture was a piece in his private collection. Our picture shows Mrs. Wadskjer in her home with the picture
