1958 - The decorations may be worn again: Since April 1, 1958 the soldiers of the Federal soldiers may wear again their decorations from the last war. When on duty or off duty only the Small decoration may be worn, the Ritterkreuz and the E.K.I. (distinguished service Cross I) contrary to former times no more will be worn in the original type. The big decoration only may be worn in very few cases and also then with the consent of the federal Defence Ministry or the commander of the division. Picture shows: A colonel of the federal-air-force-owner of the Ritterkreuz in the last war- wearing the small decoration'. The upper ribbon is showing how the Ritterkreuz will be worn now a days and the two ribbons on the left side are the award of honour with the E.K.(distinguished service Cross I) and the E.K. II (distinguished service Cross II) (without copy of the EK)
