Aug. 08, 1957 - The town of Kessel opens the most modern street-crossing in Western Germany.: The Old Market of Kassel, called Kassel Cross has been rebuilt is more than one year and has been opened for traffic. Here cross only state-highways and roads fro fast traffic and turns to the right can be made without disturbing the other traffic. The building of this road-crossing cost German Marks 2 million (approx. 5000 000 Dollars). More than 6000vehicles passing the crossing were counted during one hour.
