Jan. 24, 1959 - Stolen baby found after nine hours. A five day old baby was stolen from the Bethseda-Hospital in M?nchen-Gladbach on 1-22-1959. The culprit was 45 year old Gertrud Rabeneck, who later appeared in a Viersen hospital claiming to have given birth. The doctor saw through the ruse immediately and notified police. Pictured is Gertrud Rabeneck, who stole the baby out of despair, since she couldn't have one of her own. *This is one of two pictures in a series. The other shows the married couple reunited with their baby
