May 05, 1956 - New life at the former castle of order Softhoen. In the General Ludwig Beck-barracks, higher officers of the new German army are trained in the new rules of the game of the democracy. Yesterday the Bavarian Minister President Hogener (Hogener) and Minister of Defence Blank (blank) visited the course of instruction together with General Heusinger and Speidel (Heusinger and Speidel). Photo shows (left) the ca. 300 officers on the barrack-court listening a speech of Mr. Blank. left in the picture the GAT soldiers who will teach the officers the use of the newest military arms. (Gat = German Troup Adviser Group). Photo shows (right): American officers and soldiers, who belongs to the GATG, wear a sign on their left arm, showing the American and the German flag crossed over the official mark of the GATG
