1959 - With 100 hp into freedom : in a daring drive across the borders between east and west Germany near walkenried (Walkenried) in the harz-muntains the farmer friederich graeve (Friedrich grave) from klettenberg (Klettenberg) saved himself and his family from the prosecution by the eastern authorities. On April 5th. 1959. with his wife and his sight children he crossed the barbed wire at the Iron curtain with a 100 Hp tractor and drived into freedom'. The flown family now lives with relatives in Bad sachsa (bad sachsa) in the south of the harz-mountains
