Sep. 28, 1959 - There was a competition held in the socialist East Germany to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the founding of the country. The workers at the Warnemuender Warnow Shipyard won 2.5 million DM for their work. These eight ships from a series of Kohle-Erz freighters were delivered to their Soviet clients twenty five days before their deadline
