Sep. 09, 1959 - The NATO Counsel's visit to Central Army Group during the Operations Sidestep on 21st and 22nd Sept.1959 was highlighted by a tour of the Seventh US-Army Training Centre to Grafenwoehr/Germany (Grafenwoehr). General Clyde D. Eddleman (Clyde D. Eddleman), CENTAG Commander, accompanied by lieutenant general (Francis W. Farell), 7th Army Commander, escorted the ambassadors. The Council and other NATO Commanders could watch activities of the US Army and Bundeswehr units.
