Feb. 29 Lilli Palmer Filmed In East-Germany: Acting as Lotte of Weimar, famous film-master Lilli Palmer recently filmed in the Democratic Republic of Germany for two months. She plays the mayor part in the film Lotte of Weimar from the homonyms novel by Thomas Man, which is directed by Ehgon Gunther. Lilli Palmer had wanted to play this part for a long time. As she heard, that the East-Germany film company Deaf a had obtained the rights for this film, she applied for the name-part, but only became a non-committal answer. Three years later however, as the film was likely to be made, she was offered the part. The premiere of the film will be on June 6th, 1975 (which will be the 100th anniversary of Thomas Mann), both in East-Berlin and in Lubeck (West-Germany, birthplace of the famous writer)
