Feb. 29 DDR Raised The Minimum-conversion For The Visitors: On October 9. 1980 the official East - Berlin news agency ADN published an arrangement of the DDR-Ministry of Finance, after what the minimum-conversion for visitors of the German Federal Republic, of West Berlin and of the Western foreign countries will raise to 25. --D-Mark daily and for each person, also for pensioners, from October 13. 1980. Till now the conversion-quotas of travels to East-Berlin had been 6, 50 D-Mark daily and of travels to the DDR 13. --D-Mark. Diplomats are afflicted of the new minimum conversion-rates too. For children till to the round off to the age of 15 one also has to convert 7.50 D-Mark now. Till now the conversion -obligation has been valided only from the age of 16. meanwhile the visitors-traffic, like at the crossing Chausseestrasse went back very large
