Feb. 29 Polonezkoy, Poland-In-Turkey': Septuagenarian Pole Marian Dohoda, descendent of 19th century Polish freedom fighters who founded Poland-in-Turkey near Istanbul, stands under the walnut trees of his ancestral acres at Polonezkoy. He remembers when the young men of his village rode out to hunt bears in the forests around the village. Today men -and women too- still hunt savage wild boar roaming the heathland that surrounds Polonezkoy's fertile farms and orchards
