Mar. 22 DDR-Economy- Politician Gunter Mittag Visits Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt: Gunter Mittag, the most prominent DDR-politician who came after the visit of DDR Prime Minister Will Stoph, to West-Germany, had at April 17th, 1980 a two hour talk with Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt. Both partners expressed their interest in a long economical co-operation. Before the meeting with Federal Chancellor the Sed- politician had talks with the chairman of the coalition-parts of the Bundestag.
