Mar. 22 VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE SUDAN MOHAMED NIMEIRI: At the invitation of Federal President Walter Scheel the President of the Democratic Republic of the Sudan, Gaafar Mohamed Nimeiri, paid an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany from 1 to 7 October 1978. He was accompanied by nine ministers. In Bonn the Sudanese President conferred with Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, Federal Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher, the chairmen of the political parties represented in the Bundestag as well as with representatives of the German Budestag as well as with representatives of the German industry. Following his stay in the Federal capital President Nimeiri visited industrial pants and historical places in Lowe Saxony, Berlin. Stuttgart, Ulm and the Black Forest.
