Apr. 18 Terrible Bomb-Explosion At Munich Oktoberfest A terrible disaster happened at the famous Oktoberfest in Munich/West Germany in the evening of September 26th, 1980. About 22.30 o'clock at the main-exit of the Theresienwiese a delayed action cap, which has been deposited in a waste-paper basket, exploded. Only minutes after the terrible disaster all available fire-brigades, ambulances, also police and different relief organizations have been in action. The disastrous result: 12 people (amongst them three children) were killed and about 140 persons have been injured - partly serious.
