Apr. 17 General Nurettin Ersin. Born in Gelibolu in 1918. Graduated from the War School in 1937 as an Infantry Officer; from the Infantry School in 1938; from the War Academy in 1948. Before assuming the Office of the Commander of the 1st Army he has served in different ranks of the Armed Forces. He has become a general in 1974. Presently he is the Commander of the Ground Forces. He speaks English, is married with two children
