Sep. 09, 1961 - Wedding is the divided Berlin.: Friday afternoon, Sept 6 1961, Dieter Narotz and his young wife Monika were standing in front of a house in the Brenauer-Street just after they have been married in a church of Western Berlin. The mother, the brother and other relatives of the bride looked out of the windows, but they could not come down because the sidewalk of Bernauer - Street is still Western Berlin, but the houses on the Eastern side belong to the Soviet Sector of Berlin. The doors of these houses are closed
