Germany - Lithuania - Poland

Sep. 09, 1961 - Evacuations continue in East Berlin: The Pankow communist regime started another series of deportation today. People living in the border houses at Bernauer Strasse, where the houses are east territory and the street belongs to free Beerlin, had to leave their homes within a few hours. Furniture and houseware was loaded on trucks while armed communist police was on guard. Mirrors from the apartments were used by the communist police as weapon against cameras aiming on their deportation action. Only a few days ago some people had managed to escape into freedom by jumping out of the windows of these houses which show to Westberlin. With this brutal action east german communists closed one more gate to the free world for the people living in their regime
