Jun. 06, 1962 - The largest Italian colony North of the Alps: is now being built in the Volkswagen-town Wolfsburg, West-Germany where already about 2200 Italian guest-workers live and work. At the end of the summer, their number will have increased to 4300. For the Italians, 2-floor houses of wood have been and are being constructed of pre-manufactured parts. Each floor contains 16 rooms in each of which three Italians will live. Photo shows Italian workers buying the ingredients for their meal in the shops of the Italian colony
