The Mir of Hunza, absolute ruler in the small country Hunza in the Karakorum Mountains near the border of red-China rules over a population of only 30, 000 who do not have to pay any tax. Hunza belongs to Pakistan but is completely independent. Mountaineers who took part in Karakorum expeditions, will know this little country.
