Feb. 29 Polished shoes within 90 seconds For everybody who has not time to polish his shoes himself, this new shoe-polishing automaton was put up on the Hamburg underground station St. Pauli. For 20 Pfennigs, everybody can have his shoes cleaned. The inventor hopes that his automaton will be a success and that it will soon be put up on other stations, too. Keystone Photo, May 9th, 1960
