Apr. 27, 1964 - Former french paratrooper smuggles finance out of East Germany: The former French paratrooper Maurice Mirault (Maurice mirault), 37, who lives in Mainz, Germany, smuggled his finance Hannelore Fleiecher (Hannelore fleischer), 24, out of East Germany in a specially prepared hide-out in his car, Mirault had a travel permit to the Leipzig Fair where he met his bride and started the dangerous trip to the freedom. East German border guards controlled his car in Wartha but did not find the hidden girl. Photo shows Maurice Mirault and Hannelore Fleischer demonstrate the way how the girl was hidden. They told their story only now for the safety of the girl's relatives in East Germany
