Feb. 26, 1964 - Pictured here are Gene Mendez(29) and Joe Seitz(31). They were under contract with the Munich Circus Krone and were loaned out to circuses in the Soviet Union, including cities such as Odessa, Kiev, and Moscow. They are the stars of the high-wire act. They use neither a net nor any other safety measure on their 18m high rope. The highlight of their act is when Mendez leaps over his partner Seitz and lands on the rope. The two are pictured here at the Munich airport on 2-26-1964 after their return from Moscow. They then went on a summer tour with the Munich Circus Krone
