Sep. 09, 1960 - Visits to East-Berlin prohibited: From Aug.31st till Sept. 4th, the government of East Germany has prohibited a visit to East- Berlin for all citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany and West-Berlin. As reason for this prohibition they state the congress if the Union of returned soldiers, prisoners of war and relatives of missing men which will be held from 1st till 3rd Sept. in West-Berlin. For breaking this prohibition, West-German travellers have to expect hard punishments. Photo shows three Peoples Policemen ask a citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany to return at the border into the Western part of Berlin, whereas the West-Berlin citizen behind him couild pass the border after exact examination
