May 05, 1965 - German Ambassador goes by Car to Present his Credentials.: Herbert Blankenhorn, the new West German Ambassador to London - this morning went to Bucking ham Palace by car to present his credentials. He went by car owing to the horses having flu. Photo shows Owing to the equine flu the traditional coach was missing; so the Ambassador went by car - and is seen leaving for the Palace this morning
