Sep. 09, 1962 - 129th Munich October Festival opened today. The world's biggest fun fair which is held every year in Munich for 16 days, was opened today. On a space of 2, 5 acres 780 merry-go-rounds and beer-tents etc, are built up. exactly at noon the fun fair was opened and former Munich mayor Thomas Wimmer poured the first pint of beer for the thirteenth time.
