May 26, 1965 - The most modern, electronic traffic signs of Europe went up in Germany on the Autobahn between Salzburg and Munich. The signs were shown at the traffic exhibition in Munich. Every two kilometers these signs will be on the side of the road showing various important traffic information such as: speed limits, passing zones, and accidents. Pictured here are the future electronic signs before they went into use
