Nov. 11, 1964 - Old-Age Pensioners Go Through The Opened Wall: Many harrowing scenes took place today in West Berlin as the first old age pensioners from East Germany crossed into the West Under operation Oldster'. The operation allows old people over 65 (men) and 60 (women) to obtain yearly four week permits to visit relatives in the West. Photo Shows Guards and Red Cross personnel comfort prisoners as they were overcome with emotion on being allowed to cross into West Berlin this morning
