Aug. 08, 1964 - 56 Children From Liverpool Spend A Two Weeks Holiday With The Army Tank Corps In Germany: 56, Boys from Liverpool, were flown to Germany this week to spend a night as guests of the 1st Royal Tank Regiment stationed at Hanever, Germany. The trip was though up by the regiment's commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Richard Simpkin, He said that he found that many of the young people of Mersey side had ever been out of the place.
