Jun. 06, 1963 - East German soldiers flee to West in armored patrol car.: Three soldiers of the communist East german army broke through the barbed wire frontier at the zone border near Bad ersfeld just at the time when Soviet premier Chuchtschow landed in East berlin for a one weeks visit to communist ruled East Germany. After the break - through, the three refugees handed them selves and their armored vehicle to the West German border police at Heringe, from where they were taken to Bad, aesfeld. The armored car was driven by a West German border policeman. Still in their uniforms, the refugees were taken to the West police station for inquest
