Aug. 08, 1967 - The Wall is being Modernized: On the ground of the cemetary St. Hedwig in the Berlin district Wedding soldiers and pioneers of the NVA are enlarging the modern border. About 2 m behind the existing wall a new one of concrete ledges is errected. Behind it the so-called Todesstreifen is planished which will be bordered on the East by a high fence.
