Oct. 10, 1965 - This is the spot. at the passage Waltersdorfer chausses in Berlin - Rundown, where on 6th October a fugitive from the east succeeded in climbing over the wall and rescuing on to west- Berlin territory. The 17 years old man has been discovered and fired upon by frontier guards In Spite of this he managed the escape into the free part of the town. He was brought with several gunshot wounds into a west - Berlin hospital. It was especially tragical that the father of the young man had to stay on the other side
