Oct. 10, 1966 - Dr. Erich Mende is 50. years old. One day after the Koalitionskrise (government-crisis) at Bonn (this was on Oct. 27th) Dr Erich Mende could celebrate his 50th birthday. Dr Mende, who was Vice-Chancellor and German Minister for East-West-German questions and resigned on October 27th from these two positions in connection with the Household-Problems of the Government, is the leader of the FDP (Freie Demokratische Partei). Together with Dr. Erich Mende also the three Further Ministers of the FDP-Bucher, Scheel and Dahlgrun-resigned during the congratulation-cour for Erich Mende on Oct. 28th, in Bonn also Chancellor Prof. Ludwig Erhard was present.
