Mar. 03, 1970 - Willy Brandt.: The Chancellor of the federal Republic of Germany arrived in the Olympic Town of 1972, Munich. Together with the federal Minister for foreign Affairs, Walter Scheel, he took part in the constituting conference of the advisory board of the National Olympic Commiittee. During this meeting he was elected the first Chairman. The Federal Chancellor pointed out that the Olympic Games 19792 in Munich will not be, of course, a Bavarian affair, but a sporting event of the whole German nation.
