Mar. 03, 1970 - Nobel-Prize for Peace for Willy Brandt: The chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Willy was elected by the commitee for the nobel prize for peace 1971. Brandt received this high award for his fundamental co-operation to achieve the peace in Urope and for the understanding of the people among each other. Brandt get the prize together with a sum of DM 330 000 (about 00 000) on December 10th in Oslo (Norway). He is the 53rd winner of this prize. The last winner from Germany of the nobel prize was the publisher Carl von Ossietzky in 1935.
