1967 - Meeting of the EWG Ministers of Finances in Munich: Under the chairmanship of Federal Minister of Finance Josef Strauss the two day's quarterly conference of the EWG Ministers of Finances began in Munich on April 17th. For the first time also Federal Minister of Economics, Karl Schiller, participated in the conference. On the agenda were placed problems of the tax harmonization in the Common Market as well as international questions concerning the currency.
