Oct. 10, 1970 - Start of cutting Christmas trees in the Odenwald': Already now, 10 weeks before Christmas, the foresters have started to cut Christmas trees in the Odenwald, Germany, which, due to the wonderful autumn, is much more agreeable now than in Winter. In order to stay fresh and not to lose their needles, the cut trees are put into a plastic bag - an invention of a forester. The inside of the plastic foil is black, the outside Grey, previous to Oxygen but not translucent, which means that the tree keeps the water until being unpacked.
