May 07, 1971 - Deutschmark dollar crisis: An emergency meeting of the Finance and Economic ministers of the common market countries in Brussels has been called for tomorrow to consider the Deutschemark dollar crisis. Germany will put forward proposals to enable it to resume normal foreign exchange dealings. Herr Schiller, Economics Minister appears to favour a floating D Mark as the solution to the crisis.
