Feb. 02, 1972 - Not only the Olympic Gazes in Munich 1972 will take place in the Federal Republic of Germany, but also the 21st World Games of the Paralysed, which are known as International Stoke Mandoville-Canoe and which are happening since 1960 in the country where the Olympics are. The bport competitions for the para/yaed were founded by Professor Ludwig Guttmann in 1948. In Heidelberg, the town of rehabilitation about l000 athletes from 4c no-one will compete from August let to loth 1972 in the a of sport which can be done while sitting in a wheel- The athletes will live in the rooms labor-promotion-office. During an inepeotion of the sport-places, the participants of the Semen organisation-committee of the German basketball-orew threw the ball for the start of, :the training'. They are from left Walter Weiss, general secretary of the 21st world-games of the paralyzed, the chairman of the Federal Diet Ellen Lauterbach as member the committee for publicity-work and Prof. Dr. Volkmar Paeslack as chairman of the local organisation committee
