Jul. 07, 1972 - Tobogganing Now in Summer as Well: Last winter had been so mild that hardly any snow had been seen in West-Germany. In compensation for that a toboggan- run has been built near Cocham/ Mosel. It seems paradoxical, but the construction needs more than 20 degrees Celsius before working. With a speed of almost 50km/h one descends about 25 meters on rails. Only the ascent is exhausting as one has to walk. The owner of the summer toboggan-run is quite satisfied with the result and specially with the profit as this pleasure is not exactly cheap. Photo shows a descent with 50km/h
