1971 - Progress of Construction of the Regatta Course in Munich : It is being worked hard for the Olympic Games 1972 in Munich (Germany) : near Munich the regatta course is being constructed, where the competitions in rowing and canoeing will take place. The course can already be used (about 1, 2 miles long, 152 yds wide and 3, 5 yds deep) as the photo shows (Hans Siegert/Klaus Buchmann and Reinhard Walter trained only for the photographer) and also the construction of the stands (there are 25.000 seats along the course) is progressing. Total costs of the regatta course about 6, 5 mio. pounds
