Sep. 04, 1971 - Signature of the Berlin-Papers - After a long time of Discussions (17 Months) between the Representatives of the United States of America, Great Britain, France and the USSR Finally on September 3rd there took place the signature of the Berlin-Papers at the Former Kontrollrat in Berlin. This agreement sets value on better conditions for the Berlin-traffic and recognize the association of West-Berlin to the Federal Republic of Germany. Furthermore there is marked a general Settlement that the people of West-Berlin can visit East-Berlin and also entry into the DDR. After the signature of the Berlin-Papers now on Monday Septermber 6th the Internal German discussion can start.
